Oncoplastic Breast Surgery

54 year old female who had consulted with Dr. Koch for  oncoplastic breast reduction. Patient was referred by her breast oncology surgeon for reconstruction.

Patient had a fibroadenoma - benign neoplasm - on her right breast that needed to be surgically excised (breast lumpectomy surgery), and she also wanted a bilateral breast reduction. Patient had very large breasts, prior to surgery she was a 34 DD/DDD.

Prior to her consultation, patient had a mammogram. She reported some increased breast pain in the upper aspect of the right breast. After her mammogram, she had an ultrasound and an ultrasound guided core biopsy which determined fibroadenomas. Photographs taken show her just 2 months after her right breast oncoplastic reduction and left breast reduction/mastopexy for symmetry. After 2 months patient had no restrictions and was encouraged to increase her activity levels. The scars around nipple/areola were maturing appropriately and would continue to lighten over time. Patient was very happy with her breast reconstruction surgery and feels amazing!
