Dr. Michael Koch - Breast Reconstruction in Cortlandt Manor, NY

31-year-old G1P1 premenopausal female with right breast cancer and BRCA 1+ genetic susceptibility to breast cancer, who met with Dr. R Michael Koch in consultation for breast reconstruction after bilateral mastectomy. Patient was seen most recently by her surgical oncologist and was referred to us by him. Patient has a very strong family history of breast cancer. In 11/2020, patient felt tenderness/lump in her right breast. She had a mammogram and ultrasound as well as a biopsy 2/2021 which led to findings. Patient had an intermediate grade invasive duct cancer which is triple negative. At the time of her consultation, patient was going through neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Following her consultation, patient decided to have a bilateral mastectomy with bilateral breast reconstruction performed the same day. Patient was a candidate for nipple-sparing bilateral mastectomy. Surgery performed: insertion of bilateral breast tissue expanders, (500ml). 7 months after her mastectomy with Tissue Expander and Alloderm reconstruction, patient completed bilateral removal of her tissue expanders with placement of Allergan Natrelle smooth round breast implants (605).
