Nipple Sparring DIEP Flap Breast Reconstruction Surgery following Mastectomy

Procedure Details

Patient consulted for breast reconstruction surgery following a bilateral mastectomy. Patient had diagnosis of Left breast cancer. Surgery was performed just twenty days after her consultation. Surgery completed was immediate bilateral reconstruction with Deep Inferior Epigastric Artery Perforator Flap with Microvascular Anastomosis. (DIEP Flap Breast Reconstruction). This was also a nipple sparring DIEP Flap procedure. Patient had bilateral mastectomy and decided to have bilateral reconstruction same day. The after photographs shown here are one year following her surgery. She is doing great and is cancer free.
