32-year-old female, who consulted with Dr. Koch for bilateral breast augmentation. Patient was a 34 B cup and wanted to be a full C cup after surgery. During her initial cosmetic consultation, we discussed breast augmentation with implants - with silicone round implants: round and smooth. high profile with a narrow base. We also discussed sub-glandular (Sub-glandular breast augmentation places the implant beneath the breast gland but on top of the muscle and muscle fascia. Subfascial breast augmentation places the implant beneath the fascia a thick membranous layer covering of the pectoralis muscle). We also discussed at her consultation the incision that could be made during her cosmetic surgery: circum-areolar incision (A circular incision is made along the outer edges of the areola—the dark area of skin that surrounds the nipple) versus an IMF (inframammary fold) incision, (inframammary crease incision is in the fold beneath the breast. The inframammary crease incision is placed beneath the breast in the skin fold that lies under your breast. This incision is the one most commonly used during breast augmentation for placement of breast implants. We gave the patient the choice to choose between the two incision types for her cosmetic breast enhancement surgery. Patients after photos shown here are just two months following her surgery. She selected Smooth Round Moderate High Profile Xtra Breast Implants, 230cc. Patient is very happy with her results.
