Procedure Details

32 year old female who is BRCA2+ gene positive. She decided to have a bilateral breast nipple-sparing mastectomy. She underwent genetic testing after many of her family members were diagnosed with breast cancer and also tested BRCA 2 +. After photographs are just three months after her Bilateral Mastectomy with Bilateral Insertion of Tissue Expanders and Alloderm. The next surgery this patient will have will be to replace the bilateral Tissue Expanders with Silicone Gel breast implants. Her initial surgery required her to stay overnight in the hospital. Her second surgery (exchange of Tissue expanders for Breast Implants) will be an 'outpatient' surgery where she will go home the same day as surgery.
